New Delhi [India], January 28 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party leader RP Singh has responded to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent comments regarding Maha Kumbh, stating that Kharge and Congress have developed a habit of mocking Sanatan practices
Speaking on the issue, Singh remarked, “See, constantly ridiculing Sanatan, taking a dig at Sanatan’s rituals, it has become a habit of Congress and Kharge Sahab to take a dig at Sanatan’s rituals.”
Singh further challenged Kharge’s remarks by asking him to show the same level of criticism towards other religions, particularly Islam. “I want him to take this kind of sarcasm once about any other religion and say something about Islam, like if going to Hajj earns any employment,” Singh stated.
The BJP leader also highlighted, “For his (Kharge) information, 40 crore people will take a dip in the Mahakumbh. Whatever the estimate may be, will that not create employment? Will the use of the tempo car and food items and other arrangements not create employment?”
Singh also accused the Congress of consistently being opposed to Sanatan practices, saying, “What Kharge Sahab had to say today and the Congress today has to say everything is against Sanatan.”
Earlier on Monday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday took a dig at Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leaders who participated in the holy dip during the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
He questioned whether taking a dip in Ganga would “alleviated poverty” especially when “children are dying of hunger”. He also alleged that while on one hand PM Modi salutes the constitution, on the other “he does everything against it”
Congress was holding a massive ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan’ rally at the birthplace of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar in Indore’s Mhow on Monday in which prominent Congress leaders across the country participated. Leader of Opposition of Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi was also in attendance. (ANI)
